New Team Canadia Tow Rig! 2011 Ram 2500

Recently picked up a new rig to get myself to work and to get toys to the track. Now we just need somebody to supply a three car goose neck and all will be good.

The transmission is awesome (because its not dodge), the engine and exhaust brake is excellent (because dodge didnt make that either). I'm extremely impressed with cold weather starts, they really have cold starts figured out on the new common rail trucks with smart injectors. Being a 2011 it has the revised DPF system, and some minor upgrades to the suspension, steering and driveline.

It still rides like a 3/4 ton but its much more refined, extremely comfortable to be in, and the back seat is like twice the size of the last generations. the engine is almost silent except for the grunt of the exhaust brake.

After doing a ton of research and actually speaking with the folks at Cummins, the revised exhaust doesn't eat fuel like in the past. The only time post injection cycles occur is during a regeneration and that will only occur if you keep the exhaust under 600 degrees for prolonged periods (idle time). So far with a few border trips and run to nipigon the truck has exceeded my fuel mileage expectations (13.5L/100) for a 6.7 litre with emissions. It has been nearly as good as my 5.9 and I'm sure with a smarty jr. it will run in the 19-20mpg range on the hwy.

    Enjoy!

You gotta put image tags like this
    Code:
Put [IMG] before the image URL, then [/IMG] at the end and it'll come up as a photo rather then a link.
I'm pretty sure there's a sticky about this lol.

    Anyway, Here's the fixed photos

Tune, exhaust, emission deletes, propane, compounds, clutch, headstuds.

lol im leaving the emissions gear for now, its working fine. Definitely a smarty jr. and clutch in the summer. It has a dual mass flywheel so that limits the power output to 610ft.lbs stock. just going to a solid flywheel you can put 750-800 through a stock disc and plate with no issues. Realistically it doesnt need any more power than that, guys tow over 20,000lbs with that power in the automatic 3500's every day.

I might look at some headlights though (easy, Kevin), ram is notorious for shit headlights.

I might also consider the load leash engine brake in the future as well, it mounts right to the head and actually changes the valve timing like a true jake. It doubles the output of the stock unit to about 450hp of combined braking power.
