Copied and pasted. BTW you don't need it. but its cool to have it IMO
    What is WOT Shifting?
WOT shifting is a common practice used by drag racers regardless of if they are running turbo, supercharger or naturally aspirated. WOT shifting is accomplished by holding the gas pedal to the floor and never "lifting" off the gas during the shift. The problem with doing so is when you depress the clutch engine RPMs flare up and a brief amount of time is required for the transmission input shaft to slow down. Even the most successful drivers have been known to miss a gear occasionally. It requires complete concentration and lightning quick reactions in order to pull it off.
"Keep the pedal to the metal, blip the clutch, and grab the next gear. Do it fast enough before the redline, and your reward will be a zero lag, constant boost shift."
When you WOT shift, your engine is still producing peak power through the shift. With the clutch released, the engine revs up. This increase in RPMs and the full output power of the engine makes it very difficult for the synchros in your transmission to engage. The result means that WOT shifting can be very difficult and potentially damaging to your transmission.

    It's a stock b16.
Your a long ways away from needing a tune.
When your ready, hondata will be the way to go, it'll do everything the other two unmentionables will do and more, end of discussion.

I've never used WOT or flat foot shifting as it's more commonly known.

NLTS no lift to shift is set up with a tuning program. People usually set it up 500rpm before you shift and it is activated by your cruise cut switch. So your shifting with your foot on the floor....and if it is set up right it's is wayyyyy easier on syncros due to the fact that it will match rpm more accurately using a rev limiter.

Anyways....get back in the garage...get this done!

Realistically there are numerous ways to go about building a Honda - different setups and different tuning options and different opinions on what works the best or makes the most sense.

Personally, from what my (limited) experience with Honda's tells me (when I was collecting parts to build a fun Honda..) going with something like Neptune where you have to re-burn a ROM when you change something isn't a TERRIBLE idea - but if you're changing things often or have plans to change things (such as go supercharged, go b18 or b20 block, go turbo...) you can change things on the fly with Hondata and there is a larger resource base for Hondata now..

Ultimately it's up to you - I'd go Hondata myself if I had a Honda and was building it into something cool as I'd want to stick to what is tested and true and current - with the biggest backing - but that's just me.

most of my y8 wiring out today except 1 little bugger right under the mani, single wire with a boot on it, thinking maybe cut the wire and extend it after engine is out, might be easier.

Just a temp sensor for the cluster gauge if it is only 1 wire, right above the oil filter... no big deal.

Do I need those? I didnt think so bc I am reusing the auto y7 harness and have nothing to plug in them.also started cutting that metal piece thats in the way of the tans linkage, wha a @#tch.lol. going to pull out the y8 this week sometime and clean up the bay b4 i drop in the DOCH.

The only thing I can think of that you would need with those harnesses' at the shifter is one of them is going to contain the connection to the neutral safety switch. if the switch is not present then you will not be able to start it never done a swap auto to manual but that I remember reading is something that needs to be done, you have to add a jumper or wire to tell the car its in park or neutral.

Ill see if i can find a guide or if it is even required for you.
