    Dyno Day

Ed has agreed to rent us the dyno for a Saturday to do a baseline pull. If we can get 15 people together, it will run us about $45 each. If there is interest, I will set a date with Ed. This is on a first come, first serve basis. If we are able to fill the list and someone backs out then the next person in line can take the spot.

You must have a FWD or RWD vehicle and there will be no tuning, this is only for a baseline. If you have ever wanted to try out a dyno or get an idea of how much power you make, this is the perfect time. Let's get a group together and support a local enthusiast.

    1. MarcGSR - Integra GSR
    2. Chris M - GMC Yukon
    3. Kelly T - Nissan 350Z
    4. Andrew P - Jetta TDI
    5. Brad F - BMW 740iL
    6. Matt M - Mazda Miata
    7. Geoff B - Pontiac Grand Prix
    8. Mike R - Neon SRT-4
    9. Brian G - Nova
    10. Steve A - Mustang
    11. Al H. - 350Z
    12. Evan B. - Jetta
    13. Curtis S. - Nova (maybe)

UPDATE: DYNO DAY IS A GO!

We have the dyno booked all-day on Saturday, August 29 starting at 10am-6pm or until everyone is done. Location is 1122 Waterford St - in the back corner of the MF Jones Acoustics building.

I'll be in collecting payment from people on the list in advance. We're capping it off at 15 people so if you want to participate, don't hesitate to post.

I hashed out some details with Ed - to start each car will get 3 pulls but no tuning. Those that want to mess with tuning will also get 3 pulls but will go last. If your power doesn't fall off on the first 70-90mph pull he will go up to 70-110mph pull.

Jessly has volunteered to bring a BBQ so we can do hotdogs/burgers outside for donation and make a day of it.

Ed's a pretty nice guy, and for 45 bucks you really can't go wrong. Here's a quick video of Jordan doing a pull in my car.

EDIT: Yes I know the dyno reads a smidge on the high side

So by base line you mean like one pull? If my car is strapped can I not do a pull, see where I am, then adjust the boost and do another pull? I will be doing all the computer stuff myself. Also is this going to be a full graph full pull?

And wow yea that does read high. Thats the highest stock brz whp I have seen lol.. I should brake 700whp. Mint

If a couple people are willing to help remove the propshaft I'd be willing to take the R32 once the engine swap is done. My haldex does not disengage when the ebrake is up ( I don't really want to open up that can of worms) so I'd need the propshaft out.

    Re: Dyno Day

When they do dyno days at Map they have the tuner do 3 back to back pulls. So maybe you could maybe appoint someone who can professionally do the flooring for consistentcy.

Depends when but if Cale runs the brz I'll bring the Nova.

I appoint you, I will talk to Ed about 3 pulls. It will be later in the summer. So are you and Cale down?

    Re: Dyno Day

The three pull plan is better... if you have minimum 15 cars do a pull each, its gonna be just a bunch of sitting around waiting for cars to get strapped in. And tell ed to sort his program out, nobody wants a graph showing they made 131hp from 5000-5100rpm
