Don't do the splatter, Andrew will get mad at you if you do the same thing he wants to do, even if he hasn't done it yet.

I already have splatter on my M3, wouldn't that mean I already have it and he's just copying me???

I just want something unique that I could throw on the M3 if I ever wanted to.

Look into hydro dipping, you can buy the kits off ebay for very cheap and it would make your centers look amazing, there are all kinds of styles and colors to choose from,
just go on youtube and look up hydrodipping.

i personally like that splatter look in the pic you have cause its not something you see everyday.

Shit. I guess I should get on that... I was planning to do the winter wheels but driving the Golf obnoxiously got the better of me so I never finished what I started. Got all the paint though, so that counts, right?

A few years.. But imo splatter isn't the right choice for how beautiful those wheels are. Splatter is for fat spokes like TE37s etc..

I like the darker, less saturated bronze / golds, looks real sharp with the black.

Re: Nabs' E39 540i Daily Driver

Not entirely but it doesn't help anything, though it is nice and smooth as of yesterday. The headlight sensor probably broke after driving down nicholetts a few nights ago, and the fender liner that holds the temp sensor broke after surprise lake in January and I had it ziptied on the inside of the bumper but I guess it got loose.

It definitely doesn't help that the car is way too low for country roads and I'm 99% sure there's no bump stops. I think realistically I have no more than 1-2 inches of suspension travel, if that

I need more zipties for this car...

I've had a few more small issues pop up since the last update. The most annoying one currently is the car thinking the door is open when going over sharp bumps or taking fast left hand turns. I already adjusted the catch and it seemed to solve the issue for a while but it's back so I'll have to replace that since it's probably worn out

I also did a bit of work to the wheels. I ended up stripping all the clear coat and using a wire wheel to get all the corrosion off. Unfortunately under all that corrosion was quite a bit of pitting and one wheel has curb rash in small area so that'll have to be welded to fill it up. I was told by a person who does a lot of polishing that it wouldn't be worth doing it do to the pitting but I found that the faces covered most of it when in place and I found sanding it with a right angle die grinder with proper sanding disks is really quick.
