Yah they are just checking the bores for me and cleaning it till I drop the pistons off. Going to 99.75 as opposed to the stock 99.5 so it will a fresh start and the clearance will be correct

I truly believe you're making things worse by boring it out the .010......ugh you were trying to do good and it's going to cost you a shit ton to make it good.....

For one. Subarus have weak sleeves to start with so why make them thinner
Two. Now you're going to need to fix a torque plate so the damn thing doesn't eat oil.

    Blah.....

If you would have just stuck with the stock bores you would of been fine, the extra clearance is always built in to the Pistons.

I haven't ordered anything yet I'm waiting to see what he says about the bores. If they're fine yah I'll stick stock size in but if theyre crap it's going to have to go 10 over

Alright successful trip to border today!

Drop the pistons off at the shop tomorrow get the block bored and honed and then can finally start putting it back together. The bores ended up being tapered by .003" so it needed to get bored .010" over
