HELP WANTED - Cross Canada Traveler Civic Engine Swap

    Okay,

So a friend of one of my very good Honda friends needs a hand.

He is traveling from Fort Mac to Newfoundland. *I assume he is a fire evacuee*

He is driving a 97 Civic SI with a D series motor

His motor started to let go in Ignace. (knocking) He will be using CAA to get his car to Thunder Bay. He arrives in T-bay today. He has a replacement motor on the way to T-Bay from Southern Ontario.

What he is looking for is a shop with tools, and a few competent helpers to swap his engine. Worst case he will pay a garage to do the swap, but he is trying to avoid that.

He has done engine swaps before, but only has basic hand tools with him.

Unfortunately I leave for work tomorrow first thing in the morning, or I would be helping him 100%.

Wondering if there is anyone with free time, told, and a garage with engine swap experience.

Im sure he would throw money at you if you wanted.

Shoot me a text if you have a free day/evening this week to lend a hand to a fellow enthusiast. 807-621-1195

I personally dont know him, but have talked over the phone and he seems like good shit. He is traveling with his girlfriend and another friend.

    Thanks!

If there was a picture or two of the car there likely would have been more interest to help. I know a few people came to me and said they'd like to help but are a little leery of letting a complete stranger use their garage especially since nobody on here knows him personally. Glad you were able to find him some help though.
