so whats everyone think of these new ebike's (electric scooters)

seen these at the home and garden show this year, seems interesting, aparently you dont need a licence or insurance or plates to ride these in ontario, and they follow the same rules as a bicicle..
they go 32kmh, and last 60 kilomters before needing a charge...
I know I'll look like a fool but im considering getting one to get around alittle easier...lol

There are so many of those things around Dryden. Makes me wonder how many licenses are suspended. I really hate the ones with the damn beeper going all the time to make up for lack of engine noise.

One day someone will get fed up with those things and run one off the road. They seem to think there real motorcycles and drive in the middle of the lane so no one can get by. If it has a motor it should require a license, they did it with mopeds.

Lawn tractor would be easier. Its like 3 for 1, commuter, mower, off roader.

Ok so if you do get this you have to figure something out. Do you A) wear a motorcycle helmet pretending to look cool on a gay scooter or B) wear a bicycle helmet to keep the gay theme going

lol.. i agree with cale aboutmost people who own these things riding in the middle of the road bieng a pain in the ass....
and yes i know they look super gay...lol.... the way im looking at it is i will be able to save ALOT of money riding one of these to work and back ( Im trying to save to pay off bills so i can get a mortgage on a new house, so this seems like the sensible way for me right now....
and i will definatly be buying a full face motorcycle helmet with tinted cover so noone sees my face when riding this thing....lol

I seen some lady riding one of these down James street the other day. She was riding in the left lane but pretty much on the line for both lanes, no traffic could get passed her for a few blocks, It was causing some pretty aggressive driving. she finally moved fully into the lane and almost everybody flew by her. As I finally passed her I looked back at her face and she looked like she was going to have a panic attack.
I understand some people cant drive wont drive or don't drive vehicles, but if your going to rock a scooter you should realize the dangers and possibly give full size vehicles the "right of way" sort of thing.
    Just my 2 cents
