To those wanting corner balancing, scaling, I have a set of digital scales and am very familiar with there use. Yes it makes a huge difference, we don't race our ice racer or road race car without scaling it first. I also have laser alignment tools and again I know what to do with them. Feel free to call me and we can discuss details. Shawn 476-7878

Edit: Your setup looks a lot like Ground Control coils
Edit: I just realized they are actually GC coils and they are also custom ordered Koni shocks... Excellent choice sir!

Thought I'd share a few more photos from what I did this weekend.

Removed the front bumper to do a fog light delete and paint the washer fluid tank black.

    Mmmm... Kevlar

Test fit the bumper to see if the brackets are still noticeable painted black. I could still see them so I'll probably just cut them off and keep them for later if I decide I really need fogs. Looks a lot cleaner without them IMO (still need to clean the area where the fogs were)

    Removed front strut assembly

    Camber plate

    OEM vs Coil

Closeup of the spring, camber plate and strut tower reinforcement

    Strut installed

Removed water pump and power steering pulley and alternator. Stupid fan clutch nut was stuck so I had to go rent a tool to get that stupid bugger off

Water pump pulleys - OEM vs TMS

Power steering pulley - OEM vs TMS

Alternator pulley - TMS vs OEM

Power pulleys finally installed. Had a hell of a time trying to get the damn alternator back in place. (I realize my AC belt is cracked)

Started removing exhaust and undertrays to get at the subframe. Didn't have the right socket to disconnect the drive shaft so this was as far as I got.

OEM section 2 removed. Boy was that fun...

I won't really be able to do anything until tomorrow evening once I finally get the tools to remove the rest of the subframe and the epoxy I'll be using to glue the reinforcements in. Hopefully there are no cracks on the mounting points or I'll have to get them welded, which involves removing the gas tank and then having to inject the frame with structural foam.

Thanks Neema. I've always tried to do as much as possible on my own with my other cars, and now with air tools everything is so much easier and faster

Give... More like sell, they are $100 a piece new, usually sell for around $50-70 used.

Can't wait to see finished products of everything! One of the meanest rides around! Also very stoked to see constant progression unlike some rides which always seem to stay the same.

These may suit the jetta a bit better: E36 fogs

    And they fit H1 bulbs!!!!

They also have E46 fogs for cheap

Thought I'd try out something a bit different but I'm still not entirely sure what look to go for. I thought the white would clean up the front a bit more an make the shroud stand out more as well.

Since last week. You are thinking shrouds, they are talking about the bezel. Look closer at the first picture I posted

You don't need to be so rude about it Dave.. jees.. The black looks more aggressive, I'd like to see the front end all put together before I say which looks better or not (imo) but as it stands now, the black looks meaner.
