wow reviving this thread from the dead. anyone got any suggestions for a new clutch mine starting slipping on my home from camp today. Something a little more aggressive than stock but not a complete arse to drive would be nice.

If southbend makes one for your car, I'd suggest that. I've had ACT, and I've also had Powertraintechnologies (PTT). The southbend seems to incorporate better frictions vs a really heavy pressure plate that sucks to drive and is hard on thrust bearings like ACT.

Do u plan to build a serious street car? If you're not pushing 450wtq it's a waste and you'll hate the drivability

South Bend rules! The one you linked is for a WRX not an STI. This is the one for your car, http://www.revworksinc.com/South-Ben...I-_p_2267.html

Or you could even go with the Stage 1 which will be even more steetable and hold more than stock, http://www.revworksinc.com/South-Ben...spd_p_665.html

If I were you I would go with the daily kit unless you plan on building it, like Cale mentioned. Even with the daily kit I'm sure it'll have a slightly heavier pressure plate than stock and it looks like it's rated for 49ff-lbs anyway. While mine is really heavy, since it's a stage 4 extreme, it's still quite steetable but it takes time to get used to.
