    "The Rock Bouncer" Budget Build

We set out to build a strictly offroad rig, something that we could make with spare parts and parts we already had. Anything as far as brackets and mounts, we are making ourselves the best we can just to stick to the whole point of the project. Its been six days since we started the physical work of this project. So far we have a rolling chassis, now we are going to work on putting the motor in and the tranny, t-case etc. The frame is a 1970 Blazer frame, the diffs are a 14bsf 4.88 gears, welded in the rear, dana 44 with chromolly axles, 4.88 gears, full spool. We rebuild leaf packs, dropped brackets, and did a redneck shackle flip to achieve our lift to fit the 37" Boggers. We are putting a SBC 350 in it with a sm465 tranny and a NP205 t-case. We are gunna use the jeep front clip minus the fenders, then make the rest of the body around the roll cage.

is that front tire in the last picture on backwards?

And cool project, better idea than bagging a daily driver IMO.. hard to get to work in the morning if you break something lol

Well I'm still gonna be baggign my truck this is my buddy's and mine project, he's gunna drive it instead of his jeep for bagging. Yes two of the tires are on the wrong side, we had to wait to get the other two out of storage and are in no rush to put them in their right spots just yet.

It is a fairly decent project to make something out of random parts, its going to be alot of power with no weight and completely exposed Boggers.

Can't see, did you cut the firewall off of the tub, or are you using the Jeep tin for more of the body?

We cut the firewall and are making the rest of the body to work around a full roll cage.

Seems like the bases are covered. Post up what the total budget comes in at when you're done if you dont mind. It might encourage more people to take a similar route.
