Looking at these rules, anything can enter!!! The original idea behind true street competitions was the 30 or 50 km Cruz to eliminate the all out race cars, then 3 runs back to back runs. How are you gonna get 3 back to back runs at Terrace Bay? Lol

I know it probably won't turn into this up here but I honestly just can't consider that a street car anymore

2.5" ground clearance I'm screwed lol. You can tell those rules r for domestics, no billet wheeled turbos, 4cyl base weight of 2800lbs(my car is 2750 stock)

    Re: King of the street

Considering the goal of these "street" type rules is to keep costs down, I don't really see the costs holding many back from attending a second race.

The real problem is lowering the number of cars attending to make it worth the trip for a shorter duration (street rules would do it, but so would brackets). You could run the whole shebang twice, but you'd now need more volunteers, more sponsers... there's a sustainability threshold on both ends I suppose.

What kind of numbers make another event possible?

Yeah good point. You can't get 100 people to commit to a test and tune and now you're considering cutting out a huge chunk of the cars that participate in the normal race weekend cause they're not plated. I hope it works, I hope to attend as long as u don't use those real street rules otherwise I'm illegal lol

    Re: King of the street

Right now they are looking for input. ...ideas on how to set this up....ideas on rules. That being said i have been told that they want to keep this as simple as possible. The consensus is so far the car must have dot approved tires must have mufflers must be licenced and insured the rest of the rules are up for discussion. The morning of the event would be a bunch of test passes around noonish you will have to drive to schriber and back Im sure there will be time to air up the drag radials and fuel up before leaving. Upon return to the track a half hourish cooldown and then 3passes back to back..(..make a run pull back in the lineup and run again.) no charging of batterys no time to change tires but Im sure you could add fuel at any time......the rest of the weekend would be a test and tune event

    Re: King of the street

If I'm going to be limited to drag radials, I'll need them to spray compound down the whole track because I'm not risking ruining my car. These turbo cars make all the power on the top end.

If they can do that then I'm in
    10 Land Rover LR4 HSE
    97 Supra 863whp 756wtq - 10.22 @ 142.9mph
90 Castrol Celica Alltrac 600awhp 571awtq (track car)
92 Toyota Pickup Lexus V8 supercharged 400hp? TBA

These are the rules you should stick with. Having another event, especially something different like this, is a smart idea. People put so much time and effort into their vehicles, it's nice to have an opportunity to race locally. I'm in.

These rules in my opinion are the best out there for combined import and domestic racing as taken from the World Cup Finals in Maryland. Scroll down to true street as it seems most applicable to what you are trying to achieve.
