Bias ply DOT tires fit within all regulations of any rules that I have seen Linds, yours are fine. And there are lots of fast cars out there buddy I'm sure there will be tones of competition. Conway's car is way faster than mine, you got this!

    Re: King of the street

So just so everybody understands this is still a bracket race......the guy with the fastest passes becomes the #1 qualifier in the ladder....2nd fastest #2 qualifier and so on....you bracket race like a gamblers race and the last guy standing gets the jacket.....fastest pass gets a jacket also. They are going to be having test and tune passes going on also....so if you get knocked out you can still race....or if your car doesn't meet the "rules" for king of the street. They are hoping to have this street racing all done on Saturday but the last few passes may spill over into Sunday......Lorne

So it's pretty much the same as the normal terrace bay weekend, but they added the fastest street car class?

Nope....no classes to call up make as many passes as you want. You don't have to enter king of the street to be racing. .....Lorne

    Re: King of the street

Theres going to be a group cruze with escort vehicles to schriber.....when you get back the cars go straight into staging where you can adjust air pressure put in your nitrous bottle and Thats about it....no opening the hood to adjust anything no hooking up a laptop to change a tune no changing tires....they are still trying to figure out what to do about fueling. From there you would make 3 passes back to back an average of those is your dial in for the rest of competition. After that you can go back to your pit and do whatever you want to the car. Its going to be a ladder style bracket race....#1 qualifyer might race the #27 qualifyer.....depending how many cars are entered nhra has the ladders set up on the interweb........this is what they have set up as of right now as this is how some groups do it in the states. They will have more info after the meeting.....any input?......Lorne

    Re: King of the street

Nitrous isn't legal on the street so why are they allowed to run it at the track? Just being curious.

    Re: King of the street

I'm just saying short of adding fuel and adjusting tire pressure the car should be as it was driven to Schreiber

    Re: King of the street

Driving on an Ontario highway without proper functioning emission equipment is also illegal

    - - - Updated - - -

King of the street/True street events do not involve bracket racing, this event sounds like a Cruz followed by a day of bracket racing. If these are the rules it is going to be total chaos!!!

    Re: King of the street

I would think most, if not all vehicles that would participate in this event would have some sort of modification(s) that would technically make them illegal to drive, unless they are fully stock cars or cars with little modifications. It seems like all they are interested in is vehicles that have past safety at one point and were considered road legal at the time. Hell, my car past a proper safety less than 8 months ago... *shifty eyes*

Looks to me like according to the SSC list it's legal not to have emissions equipment ie catalytic convertors. The MOE can fine you though.

My thoughts exactly Jeff. I just don't get the need for the brackets, fastest pass of the day wins Simple.
