You get what you pay for, you have A TON of reading to do.

Look to spend around $4000 (minimum) once its all said and done for a reliable turbo kit and tune... If you cheap out on parts you will end up buying them twice and spending more than what you would have if you would have just bought the good stuff in the first place

Here is a better looking kit for a D series I found with a name brand turbo after 5 mins on google.

    http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gostkit.html

Have you considered a B series swap?

    Re: Turbo kits

Thx tremblay, I have been doing lots of reading on this and yes need to read more. from what I can tell ebay kits are a no-go bc of cheapness in quality. So appreciate any name brands people want to throw on here for me. plus starting this thread was hoping to find parts from people..lol. I have thought about B swap, but I just rebuilt this motor 2 years ago, so was hoping to use it, but thats not to say im not open to suggestions, if parts are readlt available. getting tired of the 110-120 HP i have ..lmao

    Re: Turbo kits

Deciding to make a mild build. Be happy with 200ish H.P.
    Parts wise thinking
    cast iron manifold
T3/T4 turbo (8psi) for quick spooling.
hondata s300 seems to be a good beginers choice
    550-660 injectors
    fuel pump
    fuel regulator
    Intercooler and piping
    quality BOV and wastegate
    oil kit and hoses ,fittings.
anything else i have missed plz let me know, and if you have some of these parts also let me know.
and as a last question Would it truely suck if I wanted to keep the car a automatic? ok let me rephrase that, lol probly most think dumb, but anyone ever seen or driven 1? my car is auto and changing the trans would be another big exspense i would rather put towards the build.
    thx

    Re: Turbo kits

Would need some perty gauges to light up your car, Don't cheap on the manifold. Will crack etc.
Go-autoworks, AFI , hell even talk to Cale fail, SpinZ, Neeman or Ward about fullblownmotorsports to build u a small kit. Thats where they get there parts/ tunes etc.
or Could just rip a auto h22 swap 200-220hp? depending on motor, b18c5 200hp? or even b18c1 180hp

Afi is a name brand of manifold. You could check synapse motorsports as well they do a lot of Honda stuff. As I said earlier you should research the gt2871 that I'm selling, it would be perfect for your needs

    Re: Turbo kits

I have RC 550cc injectors with clips that came out of my turbo B16 that are more than enough for 250hp ill sell cheap.

Like I said, you better have $4000+ to build a half reliable turbo setup when its all said and done... and also have a back up car while you are building it or if you blow up

If you are just tired of 120hp... find a B18C engine/manual trans and swap it into your car. That will be a big project and will keep you more than happy for years to come guaranteed.

Also a lot more turbo support if you want to boost the B series later with more power potential.

And to answer your question. Yes it would be stupid to turbo an auto civic.

You can buy a B18C from ebay, find one in forums, or multiple JDM importers in canada, picking up a manual integra LS transmission to put on it would be the cheaper rout if you didnt want to drop $2500 - $3000 on a full engine/trans

Or, just cut your losses... sell your civic and you can buy a nice vtec integra or already swapped civic in Winnipeg for $4000 - $6000

    Re: Turbo kits

This is all stupid for 200hp. Hf manifold, 14b turbo, dsm 450s, you could probably find a basemap out there from someone running a similar setup.. Ghetto fab, just a bunk d series

    Re: Turbo kits

Honestly, don't turbo your car. Just put a more powerful N/A motor in the such as a b18C or an H22a and you will be happy. You will end up spending less and it will be more reliable.

Also, offended that I wasn't listed in the people to talk to Fullblown about, lol.
