oh shit - Big Sac in Peg City

found his way to the Hamilton Audio shop. Spent the day with our crew at the Visions car show where we dominated. Then back to the bay to put in some work on the Teg. Car received a new radio and Stetsom 2 channel mini amplifier to drive the compo set I'd installed at least 6 years ago. Coming back tomorrow to lay some carpet in the back area and finish some minor electrical upgrades before home time.

I forgot how nice it was to have music in the car. It's sound really nice with that tiny amp. It's perfect!

    Stetsom Vision series amp

Total weigh added to the vehicle, 2.9 lbs + a 14 foot RCA cable and some power and ground wire. I'm extremely happy with the way it sounds, well worth it.

Ok that's not bad. So what RWD car are you thinking very hard in purchasing? I thought we had a pact: FWD brothers 4Lyfe?

The amplifier is the size of a passive crossover. It makes so little heat that the entire chassis is plastic. The Brazilian amps (SounDigital and Stetsom) have achieved efficiencies unheard of in the American and Asian amplifier wars - this particular one is in the 95%+ efficient range. According to my clamp, at wide open throttle, this thing is drawing less than 3A of current to do what it does. Very cool little pieces.

Is it a class T amp? I was thinking about getting one for my tweeters in my wagon since the class ABs are taking up too much room.

Re: oh shit - Big Sac in Peg City

Marco is right - its a hybrid Class D full range digital amp. Stetsom and SounDigital have the market cornered on the "tiny" stuff. Lots of amp mfgs are making "mini" amps, but nothing even close to the efficiency of these products. The power inputs are 12 awg lol. Of course we run 8awg and have to cut it down wildly to fit. Its that small.

The horsepower would impress you. Very strong power - high PMPO rating (google it). This little thing beats the hell out of his compo set - would only be idling driving tweeters. There are 4 channel versions as well, which would make a neat "micro sized" active setup with a Bit, PS8 or the like.
